Knighthood
The sons of lords began training for knighthood at the age of 7. By 15 they became squires. A squire was assigned as an apprentice to a knight. He followed the knight around, and assisted him in his duties. When a squire had successfully proven himself in battle, he would be knighted in an elaborate ceremony.
