The Persian Empire Declines
After the death of Shah Abbas in 1629, Persia began to see a long slow period of decline. In the late 1700s A.D. a new group of Turks known as the Qajar Dynasty took control of the Persian throne. By 1925 the Persian Empire would be divided into a number of smaller nations.
