Japan After The Middle Ages

For centuries Japan had been plunged into a bloody period of civil war and strife. While China enjoyed many long periods of peace and stability, Japan was torn apart, into small territories ruled by local Daimyos. These Daimyos ruled their lands with absolute authority.

This strife in Japan made life difficult, and greatly slowed down their evolution as a nation.
